Winter College

I leave the bus, with a stomp, ready for high school

before that, I have another event to attend

my first day in college.

When it comes to the first day,

first impressions, first times,

to me it is always crucial to make it my best,

first impressions are the most impactful after all

The first thing I do is talk to the nearest teacher

getting their permission to walk to college

I made my way to the front of the college

Putting on my White ACT sweater

I turned on my Google Maps to find the college

walking up the hill, through the ice, snow, cars

until I arrived at the campus

Knowing the building was called Goddard Hall

I walked past buildings until I got to the Hall,

entering the hall, I sat on the nearest chair.

Opening my phone I check the time,

I had about half an hour left before the class started

so, I spent some time playing on my phone

that plan changed once there was 15 minutes left.

So, I walked down the hall with classes,

checking the signs until I found the right number

I sat next to the door waiting until it was time for class
