    Hello viewers of Brady's Brigade Special Needs Support Group this is our first post of 2025. I would like to thank everyone for an amazing nine years of building our little special needs community using our events. It will officially be nine years once we get to our October event.     I would like to thank everyone who participated in our events, whether as volunteers or attending the events. Every one of you helped build this community, building relationships with other families in our community. Even when we had to restart the Facebook group, we were able to recover from the losses quickly, even gaining new members to join the group.      I hope everyone who has participated in our events and the people who will enter our events in the future will love this group. I hope everyone makes new friends, get comfortable, and forge strong bonds to this community I started. I hope that this community will continue to support those with special needs far ...

      We just had our Brady's Brigade Christmas Event. I think it went pretty well. We had Santa come like usual and we had two parents make crafts for the kids to craft. While that was happening, other parents brought in food for the event. While the Community Center conveniently had a Christmas tree for us to put presents under.     Speaking of the presents I was glad that some of the parents from our community helped give gifts for the people in the event. The participation of our community helping fund the event by giving presents, food, and their personal crafts was very helpful.     Everyone had plenty of fun, with our photographer takin g pictures when Santa gave gifts to everyone, or when group photos were taken with Santa. These pictures are what help show the internet what Brady's Brigade is all about.     Trick or Trunk was an interesting event this year, more so than the ones we have had in the past. This is because we initially believed that we wouldn't have enough trunks to give enough candy to the people who would join the event. Luckily for us we were proven wrong as multiple trunks set up their trunks for people to get candy from.      We also had an inside decorated area with pizza and a few crafts ready for people to do while they had fun during the event. Overall, it had gone pretty good from start to finish...is what I would say if I was lying. The truth is we had one problem at the start of the event.      For everyone who came  I love the dedication to Brady's Brigade, but people had caught me off guard when they had arrived early to the event. This had made me stressed, worried, and filled with panic.  Thankfully I was wrong, and we had arrived on time, but multiple families had come to early.      It shoul...

  D ue to the 'incident' that I desire to forget about happening for the rest of my life. We were forced to change pages and delete our old page. This caused us to lose a lot of the albums and reset on our account's followers alongside having to change all of our passwords.     Thankfully for the group we have managed to get up a new page which everyone can find now. This year's May event is Mother's day which is ob the 2nd week of May as usual. It's the 12th of May 2024 at 2pm. Which is at Old Colchester RD, Oakdale, CT, 06370-1699 is the zip code fo the location. This event will have Mother's Day crafts for our moms, light refreshments, the company oc other families on Mother's Day, and the Playground. I hope you guys can make this event big for your Mother's.

I have to say that the event went pretty well. We had a lot of people visit the event, got a lot of new families, and more. My sister also now can make temporary tattoos on people and we have connections to a ballonmaker. The kids also had fun writing to Santa or making cookies as well.
